Jeremy
I’m back! I’m still Jeremy! Yes it’s only Day 2, but at least it was 2 consecutive days! 🙂
Romans 5:8
Hello again! Welcome to Day 2 of the Daily Study. I want to point out that these are more focused on what I get out of my study… and not so much a study for someone else to do. I’m not qualified to provide actual Bible studies. Just wanted to throw that out there.
Today I ready of the emails from Greg Laurie. I like him. He talked about every Christian having a testimony. Some were dramatic and some were not… but that doesn’t matter because the whole purpose of the testimony is to show how/what God has done for you… not what you gave up for God.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
I always like this verse because in my home town of Arkansas City, KS there is a hill that has it “written” with big rocks covered in foil. You can see it from from the highway while you’re driving. To me it was a reminder that no matter how bad you think a person is, God sees them as His child and wants them know that He loves them. It makes it easier not to judge someone or to feel like you’re better than anyone because if God has a plan and a purpose for them, who am I to scoff at that?!
Pastor Laurie’s email went on to say that a good strong testimony will “lift up what Christ has accomplished.” Since we have been saved already, we should be a living testimony to the people whom have not yet been redeemed.
