Kerri
Hello. My name is Kerri and I’m very excited about reading Scripture and sharing here what I’ve read. Let’s study God’s word together!
Psalm 104:33
The Psalms — A book of songs.
“I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” — Psalm 104:33
I love to sing. I sing around the house all the time, singing praise songs to the Lord. God loves to hear His children sing. Even someone who is not born with a talent for singing, God loves to hear since He hears it as a beautiful sound, an offering to Him. I read once that God receives our songs as though Christ himself were singing them.
Years before my sister passed, we would sing at various places. We sang in churches, at schools, in parks, wherever we were asked to sing. We both loved it and I know God loved hearing us. My sister sang praises to her God as long as she lived. Dying from pancreatic cancer, just two days before she breathed her last she sang the Lord’s Prayer. Folks, you haven’t heard the Lord’s Prayer sung until you’ve heard my sister sing it! God gave her the ability to sing one last time this song and to glorify Him, and it wasn’t with a weak voice. I’m told she sat up in her bed and sang as if she were standing at the front of her church, completely whole. I wish I could have witnessed that, but I didn’t get there until two days later, her last day with us.
“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.” — Psalm 96:1
So, glorify God with your singing, even to the last of your days!
