I am women! I am invincible! I am tired!

Isaiah 43:1-3

This post might seem similar to my last post – but if you are anything like me – you’ll see that they are very different. Also, if you are anything like me you’ll know the feeling of true exhaustion.

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” — Isaiah 43:1-3

I’ve gone through my fair share of struggles, beat-downs, and spirit-crushing trials. For me, it seems like I am always being kicked or stepped on. There’s not much of a break a lot of the time. Don’t worry – there’s a point to my whining!

Sometimes I have a hard time finding comfort at all. That’s when I try to remember this verse I’ve posted above. I used to walk at a local park near where I used to live in North Carolina. This verse was written on a board right at the entrance to the walking trail. It always gave me a sense of peace. Even if it was only for a while – it was still a comfort.

Always remember, God is bigger than you. God is more powerful than you. Give Him your troubles and He will carry you though. You don’t have to bear all the weight alone. I hope this helps you and reminds you to lean on God more than you lean into the pain and suffering you may be feeling.
