Good morning!  If I am being completely honest… it has been a while since I have done morning devotions.  It is very easy to read all the Facebook and Twitter posts several times a day, but when it comes to spending a few minutes with our Creator in the morning… well it seems to just “slip my mind”.

So yesterday, in preparation for this, I downloaded a devotional on my phone.  This morning’s verse seemed to fit into what I just described perfectly!

“For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.  They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.” — Galatians 5:17

I haven’t really felt convicted about doing studies, which means that my flesh side has probably been a little over-fed!  I don’t think it is enough to just be a good person… I think that you really have to choose not to give into the flesh and feed the Spirit as well.  Going forward, the more I do these little studies, I will feed the Spirit.
